UPDATE SINCE OCTOBER - November 20th 2008

Whoops!
Well, I haven't updated this in forever, and I apologize! Life's incredibly busy for me, and with all my homework and tests coming up, my updates on here have been horribly slow.

I hope everyone had a good Halloween - I had a blast trick-or-treating, and got half a pillowcase full of candy! Which I am currently eating slowly.

Basically, we watched Code Geass, or however you spell it, and had a dance/cake party today, which was pretty fun.
IF YOU GUYS KNOW ANYONE WHO WOULD BE INTERESTED IN JOINING, BRING THEM! WE NEED MORE MEMBERS!

2008 - Meeting 3 - October 2nd & October 9th

Again, sorry for the late update. Things have been crazy for me with SAT Prep classes.

Well, I was gone for half of this meeting taking a math test, but it seems like we started watching YuYu Hakusho, and did a bit of drawing.

2008 - Meeting 2 - September 25th

Well, I did it again. I forgot to update. I apologize. I haven't been feeling all that great lately (rather depressed actually), and I haven't gotten around to updating.

I'm going to keep this short, like the previous one, since I'm kind of tired of being on the computer - crazy enough.

We watched the remainder of Howls Moving Castle by Hayao Miyazaki.
Please get tickets for Sakura Con and get to work on your costumes! Let me know if you have any ideas!

Well, we finally started up again! I have a ton of homework to take care of, so I'm going to make this quick:

A New Year - A New Goal!

Hello everyone!

Now, I can't say a lot promise-wise in this post, but I will say this: We're going to start Co-Draw club either the second or third week of school, or however early I can get it started. I need to run it by Ms. Daughtry, and I'll be sending that email as soon as I'm done with this post.

Plans for this year:
-Actually research other cartoon/comic book forms and practice them
-Watch more videos/movies to get a better idea
-Go to Sakura Con all three days! I want everyone there, so buy your tickets quickly so they don't go up in price! (max $45)

Sakura Con:
I want everyone attending this year, so please buy your tickets at http://www.sakuracon.org and look around for costumes. Now, Kelsi wants to go as a big Bleach group, and since I already got my costume and Emily has her grandma doing hers, we're the exceptions. Otherwise, see who you can find that you like. If you don't like anyone, you are welcome to go as someone else, but start raising money to pay for Sakura Con and costumes.
We will be doing fundraisers this year to help you guys who can't get the money for costumes or tickets. Hopefully, we can start those as soon as possible, either outside school or with it. Also, I will be rather busy this year, so I hope to have some help. We will be re-electing officers and possibly getting new ones.

I will be updating this EVERY THURSDAY! I am going to make myself do it on time, so you guys can keep track. And PLEASE look at this website as often as you can, it will have important info that I may have forgotten to tell you guys during the meeting.

Our meetings will still be on Thursday, allowing those who need the activity bus to take it. I will be sending an e-mail to Ms.Short as well to see if she's still willing to chaperone us.

Summer Stuff

Events Remaining:

Alright everyone! Well, it's the end of the year, and I feel really bad we didn't get done what we wanted to do at the beginning of the year. Hopefully, next year will go much better.

Summer:
I'll be gone from the 26th of June to 14 days after that. Other than that, I'm going to try and post up here once a month, so be sure to check in!
Over the summer, be sure to collect your drawings and have them ready for me at the beginning of the year next year! Also, practice your drawing skills, and we'll let you show off when the 2008-2009 school year begins!
Get some manga/comic books, DVDs, and more!

Next Year:
Sakura Con is in April next year. The pre-order tickets are now available, for $35 all three days, so go visit www.sakuracon.org and order them! We're hopefully going as a big cosplaying club next year, so maybe another-fairie could get those sweatshirts done soon?
Other than that, next year, let's do that HUGE comic book thing, as well as actually EXPLORE other cultures and what not - their drawing style, of course.

Week 18

Gah!

Remembered I had to update this thing, though I'm not sure many of you read it!

Well, Co-Draw is starting back up this coming Thursday, June 5th, and will probably be going to about 4 or so! I should hopefully get my Death Note DVD by then so we can watch that, but in case it doesn't come on time...

Things to Bring:
Any DVDs of shows (any type of cartoon - anime, american, etc) that you own, and we'll vote on which ones we want to watch!
Any manga or comic books you want to share! We only have 3 weeks until the end of the year, so this'll be your last chance!

Summer:
Because I'll be pretty busy this summer, I'm going to try to update at least once a month, though the updates may be random and several times a month if I get too bored. I will update on when Sakura Con pre-registration stuff has begun, and keep a list of everyone who is going! We may be able to do a fundraiser next year to collect money, so some people may not have to pay the full ticket! I want everyone to go next year, and if you have any questions or concerns about Sakura Con, the possibility of Comic Con, or cosplay next year, let me know!

Week 16 - 2009 Sakura Con & Random

Wow, this is bloody late. Well, finals are coming up and what not, so I may be absent a few of the Co-Draw days, or I may just cancel it if Misao262 can't be there. Either way...

This week, we partially discussed what's going on for next year as far as field trips. I'll see if there's any way to get to a convention I heard about somewhere in Canada, somewhere close, like... Vancouver, or Victoria or something like that. Canadians, eh?

Anyways, I hope you all will be attending tomorrow, we'll be doing some hard-core talking and research. We're kicked out of the room at about 3:00pm, so we may either end early, or go out into the hallway. Whichever happens first.

Week 15 - Sakura Con

So, here's a bit of a schedule for those going to Sakura Con:

Meet at Kentwood in the PAC between 7:30am-8:00am on Sunday, March 30th. Kelsi's dad will be picking us up, and will be graciously joining us inside as well. Be sure to thank him!

Today, we just drew random stuff, and since we had no classroom, we were in the hall.

Also, Fumasu is a butthead for not showing up.

Be sure to attend Cherry Blossom, March 28th from 5:00pm-9:00pm at Kentwood!

Week 13th & 14th - Food Poisoning & Sakura Con

Gosh, I really need to start updating this thing more... I have some free time tonight, so I'll be scanning up pictures and putting them up on our dA website.

Week 13, which was the 13th of March - ironic, isn't it? - I was sick with Food Poisoning, so the job was handed to Fumasu. Feedback?

Week 14, we discussed Sakura Con. Apparently, the people going are LadyDrenchedInShadow, BakuraSenov (me), Karushi, and Wolfbane. Karushi's father has been kind enough to take us. So, here's the plan!

We'll be meeting at Kentwood on Sunday, March 30th, between 7:30am and 8:00am. We will be leaving at 8:00am and be back from Sakura Con around 5:00pm. Be sure to wear your costume and bring a cell phone!

Other News: My birthday is on March 29th, so we may do something on the 27th meeting! Hizzah!

11th & 12th Week - Movie & Sakura Con/Cherry Blossom

Gah!

I am so sorry that I haven't updated this for a while! But I have some bad news.

Apparently, Sakura Con Pre-Registrations are done, which means we'll be having to stand in a line for a good few hours before we can get into Sakura Con in Seattle. Are you guys up to that? Comment and tell me what you think!

Also, Cherry Blossom is coming up, and I was wondering if you guys wanted to have a Booth there? I can get a form and we can set something up, though I did kind of want to wander around... Nah, it's fine. So, are you guys up to it? I believe it's that Friday, March 28th, though I'm not sure. I'll grab a form on Monday hopefully!

So, we watched Final Fantasy: Advent Children (& the Giant Pidgeon!), what did you guys think? I can rent other ones and bring them in if there's enough interest, and possibly some of the games and a system? Who knows.

As for the project we were planning to do this year, I think I'm going to postpone that till next year. Since we want the money for our club, we'd want to do it next year when we can actually keep the money for our uses, and possibly for next year's Sakura Con?

Alright! WASL week is coming up, and though I am not looking forward to all the testing, we will be having club on this Thursday! I think I may bring in some food, since WASL will be done, sound good?

10th Week - Sakura Con

Okay, I know this is horribly late, but I've been pretty cram packed with stuff lately. Yes, even during break, I have homework, and tons of other junk.

Last week, we talked seriously about Sakura Con, and I'll be updating the list as soon as I'm done typing this.

Also, I'm going to be bringing in Advent Children next week to watch, since I just got it and it's an amazing example of Japanese animation.

DURING BREAK: TRY AND RAISE $30 AND BRING IT THE THURSDAY WE COME BACK! I'm going to see if we can get a discount signing up as a group, and if we can't, then I suppose our only choice is to have everyone sign up individually. If that is the case, then I suppose everyone can do it on their own.

8th & 9th Week!

8th Week:

This week we really didn't do a whole lot; we just drawed and talked and what not. There's really not much else to say, other than I'm sorry I haven't updated in so long! I'm a bad person... *smacks head against wall* Thursday night was a little crazy, it always tends to be, and I'm normally too lazy to update. I ought get Misao262 to help me out with this stuff... -_-

9th Week:

This week was actually important! We talked about Sakura Con, and I got a sketchy list of people who want to go. IF YOU WEREN'T THERE, AND WANT TO GO, I NEED TO KNOW RIGHT AWAY SO I CAN ADD YOU AND FIGURE OUT PRICING!

Hopefully we can get some sort of discount for going in a large group, and if your parents are able to pay, please let them. I know we can't raise THAT much money!

Next Meeting: February 14th, 2008, Valentine's Day!

VERY IMPORTANT!

This coming week, which is January 24th, there will be no CoDraw Club! I will put a sign up, but don't show up there and be like, "Whoops, guess I didn't read the blog..."

7th Week - MLK!

Date: Thursday, January 10th, 2008

Gah! I keep forgetting about this blog! I'm sorry! Thursday night I ended up with a lot of homework and studying for the next day!

IMPORTANT! Okay, so this week, we discussed that on Thursday January 17th, we're participating in the MLK (Milk! Martin Luther King) thingy, so we need to make a booth. From what I understood, we're going to have a powerpoint running on another_fairie's laptop, and another_fairie's bringing cupcakes to sell? Wow, she's doing a lot! Please thank her everyone~!

Okay, so, for the powerpoint, I need people to bring in 2-3 of their best drawings, so I can scan them up! My email is captainjesssparrow29@myway.com if you want to send them to me through email. Otherwise, just giving them to me to scan will be fine. I AM IN FRONT OF THE MAIN GYM EVERY MORNING FROM 7:00AM-WHEN SCHOOL STARTS! Please drop them off before Tuesday!

Anyways! Today I am going to scan up the drawings I've neglected for a while, and give them back on Monday!

6th Week - Mascot!

And yet again, I failed to get this out the night that we had the club! I had a lot of stuff to take care of, so please forgive me! (I blame Misao262 - She is president and not doing any of this... -_-)

Anyways, today we had the great privilage of ChaosRekuuza joining our meeting! With her help, we created our mascot, which is an onigiri (a rice ball sort of thing, only it's shaped like a triangle). I can't quite remember the name of him, but we're making shirts or sweatshirts with him on it and Co-Draw club at the bottom. Hopefully, we'll be able to advertise our club enough to get some new members. All thanks to another-fairie!

Besides that, Chaos will not be able to join us for another meeting except by chance, since she is to be home early and my mom can't pick us up that early! It makes me sad... (BTW: Chaos and I are twin sisters seperated at birth - very close).

Next Meeting: January 10th, 2008 (Arg, I keep typing 2007! Blast it!)

As normal, bring the normal supplies! I'll actually be bringing my drawing folder this time, which I always tend to forget! I'm going to see if we can get permission to get on the internet in my Web Design class after school, so we can do so more research on Sakura Con and other conventions!

Fifth Week - Discussion

Oh my gosh, guys! I'm way sorry for not posting this back when we actually had the meeting! Break has been crazy for me, especially with relatives, a new hamster, and all sorts of annoying disasters. Anyways, I hope you guys had an awesome Christmas and New Years!

This week (or last week, whatever), we discussed possibilities for Field Trips. These will have to be seperate from the school, otherwise we can't use any of the earnings, which sucks. We talked about Sakura Con, and things we could do for raising money. Going as a group, we'll get a bit of a discount, which is good.

With the new year, comes new possibilities! And I promise we'll get to actual drawing next week!

Next Week:
Bring any drawings, dvds, or anything else related to comic books in general.
